CleanupEdit

I don't understand the reason given for cleanup. Zixor (talk) 05:17, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

There are many uses of the word "you", which is bad.Smoreking(T) (c) 13:51, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
Is it a good idea to change "you" to "The player" or "One"? If not explain why. ~Teh Blue Blur~~You're too slow!~ 14:05, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
I finished removing it anyways, look at it to see how I did it.Smoreking(T) (c) 14:10, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
Ohh, Impressive! (I wasn't being sarcastic btw...) ~Teh Blue Blur~~You're too slow!~ 14:13, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

On the topic of "you" vs. the "player," third person is preferable to second person, but the best way to do it is to change the subject of the sentence. For example, the sentence "You can open a door by pressing the control stick up." is better served being written "A do can be opened by pressing up on the control stick." Here, the subject of the sentence is changed from "you" to "the door." That is the best way to write wiki pages. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 17:52, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

Origin?Edit

Do we need to make the origin of the door? Kirbythe   Amazing Know my power! 01:34, 14 August 2011 (EDT)

K, which game do we write about? Besides the huge amount of doors in every single Nintendo game that features Link, Samus, Kirby, and Pokemon. Mario has a few exceptions. MegaTron1XD  01:44, 14 August 2011 (EDT)
I think from Kirby, since the door in SSE is more to Kirby's universe. And I quite know them Kirbythe   Amazing Know my power! 01:49, 14 August 2011 (EDT)

An origin isn't necessary. Doors used the way they are in SSE are common in 2D games, they're not an element that were in a single game series that were then used in Smash. Omega Tyrant   01:53, 14 August 2011 (EDT)

That's quite understandable for me Kirbythe   Amazing Know my power! 01:58, 14 August 2011 (EDT)
