RaynEX is a Fox player from Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. He mains Fox, but also plays Falco, Marth, Captain Falcon, and Mario. He has proven himself in the North American Smash scene, having some very notable placings such as 3rd at Mass Madness 14. More recently, he's been performing strongly in teams at major tournaments, placing 4th at Get On My Level with Riddlebox and 3rd at Super SWEET with KirbyKaze.
Raynex is a Super Smash Bros. Melee player from Toronto, Canada, and one of the founding members of the East Coast Canadian community. He is known as one of the country's premiere Fox players, and was a fixture in the North American competitive scene between 2007-2018.

Biography
RaynEX has been playing Super Smash Bros. Melee since its release; having first used his main, Fox, playing Super Smash Bros. 64, for the Nintendo 64 console.
Raynex has been involved in grassroots communities since his youth. He entered his first tournament at 16 years old, after finding an ad through the international community forum, Smashboards. For the next 2 years, he would attend local tournaments at community centers and schools in Toronto, with highschool friend Ryan Ford not far behind. After 2 years honing his skills, he set his sights on what lay beyond Canada, competing in New York, Massachusetts, Atlanta, Michigan, Pittsburg, Baltimore, and Kansas - all before turning 22. Raynex's experiences travelling abroad not only lead him to numerous tournament wins at home, but brought experience and perspective that invigorated the Toronto community. Now a top player, with world-class doubles teammate Ryan Ford and Sheik pioneer KirbyKaze as training partners, the rest of North America began to wake up to the talent coming out of the frigid North.

The first incarnation of the TransCanada Tournament (2005) was where RaynEX was initially introduced to the competitive scene. Amazed at the amount of players that attended, and the skill level so apparent among them; RaynEX quickly decided to pursue a competitive career in Super Smash Bros. Melee.
Raynex was the first-ever dual-sponsored fighting game player in Canada, competing in SSBM and Street Fighter simultaneously at events. He has accumulated some notable tournament wins in his career, including sets over Hungrybox, N0ne, Moky, Kage, KoreanDJ, KirbyKaze, and Colbol. In SSBM, Raynex peaked at #1 in Canada and 51st on the SSBM World Rankings (2014). Ryan Ford (aka Unknown522) and Raynex are also considered one of the best Canadian 2v2 pairings of all time, being one of the first teams from the country to place top 8 at an international major.

Soonafter, at a tournament held in 2005, RaynEX befriended the 5 members of NNR (The Neon Night Riders). The members of NNR had held the tournament to informally announce their competitive participation to the community, attracting players from far and wide to gather and cooperatively improve at the provided venue. Eventually RaynEX, and his doubles partner Ryan Ford, joined the 5 smashers under that same crew apellation, solidifying what would turn out to be one of the most skilled and successful Smash crews ever conceived within Toronto.

RaynEX continues to smash competitively, attending tournaments held in both the U.S. and East Coast Canada. He is considered by many as one of the best Fox players in the country. RaynEX is currently ranked 6th on the Southern Ontario Melee Power Rankings.
Raynex no longer competes professionally, but is still a fixture in the smash and fighting game communities.

He started the "Canadian Arcadian" tournament series with KirbyKaze in April 2014, a tournament series for unranked players only. He continues to organize and aid new smashers in the Greater Toronto Area.
