Motsunabe is a smasher from Japan that mained Lucario in forwiiu, with Ryu as a secondary. He was considered to be the best Lucario players in the world from late-2015 to mid-2016, and was Japan's best Lucario player before Tsu-. He is best known for winning Umebura 20, defeating KEN and RAIN along the way, the best Lucario result up to that point. In addition, he also placed 3rd at SHI-G Tournament defeating Nietono, Kirihara, Tsu- and Raito, as well as 9th at Umebura Niconico Qualifier, and has additional wins over Kameme and Earth. Due to these results and wins over Japan's best players, he was ranked 8th on the Umebura Smash 4 Power Rankings and 15th on the eSports Runner Japanese Power Rankings by mid-2016. However since then Motsunabe became less active, with Tsu- greatly overtaking his performances by 2017; he was last ranked 41st on the JAPAN Power Rankings towards the end of 2016.
