*Despite being a Vegas Smasher, JK frequently participates  Smash events in Southern California, such as MSM and 2GGT Saga.

On November 25th, 2017, JK was reported by a large group of fellow smashers, including {{Sm|Charliedaking}}, {{Sm|S2H}}, {{Sm|Technicals}} and others, to have tried to run them over with his vehicle. According to Technicals, they were coming out of a local tournament in Las Vegas when JK invited them to have dinner at a restaurant. After they declined his invitation and went for a walk, JK tried to run them over while they were still in the parking lot, with two of the people barely avoiding him. After this, the group of smashers went to confront JK, who allegedly admitted he tried to hit them on purpose, and that he did not care if he or anyone else died. Due to this series of events, JK was banned from attending most tournaments in Las Vegas until further notice.
 
On November 26th of the same year, a day after the incident had occurred, JK issued an apology.<ref>http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1sqbb5j</ref> In this apology, he explains that he suffers from multiple mental illnesses which may have caused him to commit this act. He also states that he is seeking psychiatric help for his mental illnesses.
 
On November 27th, one day later, Sean Laz, another tournament organizer at Las Vegas tournaments reviewed the situation. After deeming JK's apology insufficient, due to it not truly apologizing to the parties involved in the incident, Sean confirmed JK's indefinite ban from Las Vegas tournaments until he could prove he was mentally rehabilitated<ref>http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1sqbc7k</ref>. On June 9th, 2018, multiple members of the Las Vegas "Backroom" and many tournament organizers held a meeting to adjudge whether JK was fit to return to Las Vegas tournaments. Sometime mid-September 2018, JK was banned a second time by the Las Vegas tournament organizers. The ban was never announced and was kept in private between JK and the tournament organizers, who agreed that another public announcement would further harm his mental well-being. Details of the ban's purpose were not released, but JK agreed on the ban and started focusing on other activities and hobbies.
 
On November 2nd, JK attended a local tournament, breaking the terms of his ban in the process. He was immediately required to leave and controversy arose within the local community.
