With both Marth and Lucina being near-identical clones of each other in Super Smash Bros. 4 and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, with minimal functional differences between them outside of Lucina's sword attacks dealing consistent damage across their hitboxes, they are often referred to by players collectively, such as when discussing how a particular combo works on opposing characters or when discussing tier lists and matchups. The name "Marcina" is a simple portmanteau of their names.
