Octaslash is a technique first named in the ''Dissidia'' series of fighting games as one of Sephiroth's HP attacks though it is based on an attack he used in the ''Kingdom Hearts'' series. He would strike a pose before executing several powerful slashes dealing Bravery damage before the last strike dealt HP attacks. In the first two games, he appears to strike less than eight times though the last Bravery strike deals a few extra hits. It would later appear in the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII in various depictions, with ''Crisis Core'' having it be a cinematic attack as well as an available Digital Mind Wave attack available to Zack Fair if the player rolled on Sephiroth and ''Final Fantasy VII: Remake'' being one of his attacks during the third phase of his fight. | |||
