He started his smash career as an {{PM|Ivysaur}} main in August of 2013, but later switched to {{PM|Lucario}} in December of 2013 and has remained a Lucario main since. While Searing Arrow is not on the MD/VA Power Rankings yet, he has gained recognition for his recent local, regional, and national level tournament placements beating notable players such as {{Sm|Smash G0D}}, {{Sm|Nintendude}}, {{Sm|Anti}}, {{Sm|Vex Kasrani}}, Envy, {{Sm|Pink Fresh}}, and BaconPancakes, but his inconsistency becomes an issue, having dropped sets to B-Moves and more unranked players.

Since then Lucario has been his go to character. During these tournament's picked up a rival by the name of ScanMasterB who mains Donkey Kong. Searing has said multiple times that he has no problems beating ScanMasterB, but it "depends on how he's feeling that day".
