Why does SmashWiki always call the first Pokémon games by their Japanese name instead of their English name? The only difference is that Venusaur is on the Green front cover instead of Blastoise. [[Special:Contributions/174.55.24.64|174.55.24.64]] 18:00, June 3, 2022 (EDT)

:It's a little more complicated than you might think. You see, Red & Blue is actually a combination of both Red & Green AND solo Blue, using the available Pokémon from the former and the graphics from the latter. It isn't as drastic as, say, ''Doubutsu no Mori+'' to ''Animal Crossing: Population Growing'' (and to a lesser extent, ''Mother 1'' to ''EarthBound Beginnings''), but the differences are apparently enough for Bulbapedia to count them as separate games (and thus, have separate pages for them), hence why SmashWiki also counts them as separate games.
