I am an American currently living in Moscow, Russia who competes under the tag Nergal. Mostly I play ''Melee'' and my most notable result was at [[Fight Pitt 7]] where I placed 5th in the amateur bracket playing Luigi and Donkey Kong as a tribute to {{Sm|Abate}} and {{Sm|Green Ranger}} who couldn't be there; since then, I have relocated for school purposes and picked up new characters for tournament play. {{Sm|Armada}} is my biggest inspiration in playing ''Melee'' since I saw him play at The Shape of Melee to Come V. My goal on the wiki is to contribute to the articles centered on competitive play because too many are dated or poorly written.

I have played all of the games in the series and competed in at least one tournament for each game except for ''64'' . Currently the only game I focus on now is ''Melee'' where I mostly play Sheik but also use Falco and Ganon for certain match-ups; when I first started playing, I was a Ganon player but now I only really use him to counter the Ice Climbers. Aside from those three I also really enjoy playing Mr. Game & Watch and Donkey Kong, both of whom I believe are underrated characters that could use more representation.

I'm slightly familiar with ''64'' but I only enjoy playing doubles. Like most players, I was heavily invested in ''Brawl'' the first year or so and played Snake. ''PM'' isn't a bad game and I originally played Bowser but then switched to Sheik shortly before losing interest. In ''Smash 4'' I played Bowser Jr. and Dark Pit way back in the 3DS days but later switched to Pit because I enjoyed the bow so much; I wouldn't be totally against entering a ''Smash 4'' tournament but have no incentive to travel to one if ''Melee'' isn't present.

Just an opinion piece I made. This is based on the player's skill and tournament results and includes who I believe are the best (or would be the best if they used them in tournament) with said character. This also doesn't take into account players who have since retired (i.e. Wobbles) but does include players who have dropped the character from their competitive arsenal yet continue to compete with other mains (i.e. Shroomed).

I'm an American editor and smasher from Ohio who competes under the tag '''Nergal'''. My goal on the wiki is to contribute to the articles centered on competitive play, especially in Europe. My main game is Melee but I'll play any of them in a casual atmosphere. It would be cool to enter a PM tourney but my region unfortunately isn't too hot on the game. Brawl was actually the first game I played competitively but that barely lasted a year before losing interest. Smash 4 I played a lot during my early college years but it didn't really hold my interest either; I may still enter doubles though. The only times I've played 64 in recent memory all took place at an arcade bar in Cleveland (LOL).
