:::I also think that within the context of ''Undertale'', "monster" is less of an actual race or species, and more of a generalization for "anything that isn't human"; it's mainly defined by similarities in their biology, such as having weaker SOULs than humans. That's similar to saying that Isabelle is both a ''dog'' and a ''mammal'', but we go with just ''dog''. With that in mind, I believe it's more appropriate to call him a "skeleton" (since this is what he refers to himself as) rather than a "monster" (which is the greater race he belongs to).
