+:Personally I don't see a reason. They're basically glorified platforms (hence "floats") and don't actually represent the Pokémon as a character. As for the King of Red Lions, as far as I know he literally is nothing but a boat for the most of the game, so it does accurately represent the character as it is. I know the other Pokemon that appaer only move placement, but the previous five have additional moment indicating they are more than just floats.
