'''Rickety''' (born April 2, 1987) is an American [[smasher]], currently living in San Diego, California. His [[main character]] since his debut into the tournament scene has been [[Marth]] in singles and [[Sheik]] in doubles, as well as [[Dr. Mario]] as an [[alternate character|alternate]]. Rick is considered one of friendliest players in San Diego, always trying to help newcomers to the game to help them avoid what he experienced when he first began playing. Aside from his personal achievements, Rick is a member of [[Peace and Love]], a high-ranking San Diego [[doubles]] team, as well as the founding member of [[Team Harmony]].

Rick has been playing Super Smash Bros. ever since it debuted on the Nintendo 64. Like most players, however, he did not discover many of the advanced tactics until stumbling onto [[Smashboards]] in late 2003. Rick, who has always been an avid fan of the fighting game genre, was enthralled upon learning of all the advanced techniques, and was eager to learn them all. However, when he discovered that there was no tournament scene in San Diego at the time, and even finding players to play with became a challenge, he decided to stop playing the game and instead become active in the Street Fighter and Capcom vs SNK games, which already had a prolific and well-established scene in San Diego. Because of this, Rick would not play smash again until the latter half of 2005, when he met with [[CAOTIC]] and [[Edrees]], two very good and well-respected Peach players. When Caotic began running the [[San Diego Triweeklies]] in early 2006, Rick attended them with great enthusiasm, playing as much as he could, while trying his best to help the hosts run the tournament. 

Rick became close friends with Caotic, and eventually in the Summer of 2006, participated the SoCal Road Trip, a nine day trip from San Diego to Canada. Throughout the trip, they were housed by various smashers along the coast, including [[Hyugaridecau]], [[T0mmy]] and [[T!mmy]], and the [[SKYPAL]] house.

 

 

==Trivia==

*Rick is widely known for his excessive use of hearts and smileys when posting on [[Smashboards]], as well as constantly referring to people/places/things as "too cute"

*Due to most of his posts and shout-outs being excessively long, many San Diego players started adopting the phrase, to "Pull a Rickety", whenever someone makes a long post.

*Rick is the "Loving" half of the [[Peace and Love]] Team.
