He was primarily a melee player originally but entered project m tournaments on occasion. Around February 2017 he switched to Project M fully, dropping melee. "Drugfreechu" is a play on the fact that his first main character in melee was pichu, and used the red ribbon costume, a red ribbon symbolizes a pledge to be drug free.
