Shulk swings the Monado in a circular, upward-arcing slash spanning from his upper leg to his head. It is Shulk's fastest aerial attack, coming out on frame 13, has a long hitbox duration, lasting a total of 17 frames, and has the least amount of landing lag out of all his aerials (10 frames, the same as air dodging - and by extension, wavedashing - in Melee). It is considered to be Shulk's best combo stater and approach tool, especially when combined with the Jump, Speed, and Buster Arts. However, due to its long-lasting hitbox and high ending lag, it is very risky to use off-stage, especially when fast falling, as it usually results in Shulk self-destructing.
