MeltdownThrowKnee: The Big One was a Super Smash Bros. Melee regional tournament held in Nantes, France, on June 24th, 2023. This tournament was part of the MeltdownThrowKnee series of locals in Nantes, albeit with a bigger scope thanks to a partnership with eSports group Team Vitality and French bank Crédit Agricole who financially contributed to the tournament's organization, notably resulting in a large prize pool.

Tournament summaryEdit

NekoKaze, despite being seeded #3, would go undefeated in bracket on route to winning the tournament, beating Psylo and LunarySSF2 twice. His victories over the Belgian player were especially noteworthy given NekoKaze's set record of 1-6 against Lunary at the time - a record he would manage to tie after turning those wins into a 5-set win streak in the next few tournaments both players attended.

Returning from a period of relative inactivity, Giuseppe would be the highest-placing representative of the Brittany / Western France region with a 4th place finish, notably defeating local rival PaF and nationally-ranked Samus player Touffe.
