Banana Boy is known for his defensive playstyle with Yoshi. He plays patiently by zoning and mixing up his approaches. When zoning, he uses Yoshi's up special, [[Egg Throw]] that may force the opponent to play defensively or approach him. Banana Boy mixes up the combo game that may result in him gaining a more rewarding advantage. Banana Boy hardly relies on deep edgeguards allowing him to gain stage control.
