::The thing I’m concerned about is the word “cameo”. There was a recent discussion concluding that Lucas and Dark Pit’s appearances as Mystery Mushroom costumes in Super Mario Maker do not count as cameos, due to those technically being Mario. The problem is those are also full sprites with unique sound effects, much like the characters in the Namco Roulette. There’s also the fact that the Namco Roulette characters are also technically not those characters, but rather, props. I figured that if Mystery Mushroom costumes aren’t really cameos, neither are the Namco Roulette characters, as both are merely sprites, and neither are technically the character themselves. So I replaced the word “cameo” with “referenced” on this page and [[Gil]] to watch on the wording, yet both edits were undone. Maybe starting a discussion based on one word was going a little too far, but it was the only way to debate on changing that one word without edit warring. Hopefully that clears it up a little bit. ::::It was relevant for a trivia point on Lucas’s page stating that he and Dark Pit only had one appearance outside of Smash. It ended with saying that Super Mario Maker was not a cameo appearance for them, despite their sprites replacing Mario’s. ::::I sincerely hope you aren't seriously thinking this, Lou Cena.

::::The discussion was about the characters themselves appearing, versus a costume of them appearing. Ness appears in a movie theater in ''Mother 3'', therefore he makes a cameo appearance. Bowser replaces Madama Butterfly if Bayonetta has on the Peach or Daisy costume, therefore he makes a cameo appearance. Any of the characters appear as they are in the Namco Roulette, therefore they make a ''cameo appearance''.
