 On July 5th, 2020, amidst a wave of sexual allegations, {{Sm|Ori}} announced via Twitlonger that AmiiboKing would be be removed from his status as a tournament organizer, due to AmiiboKing downplaying the severity of events, and he would be banned for one year from competing in Smash events in Michigan. On December 21st, 2021 following an appeal process Amiiboking will no longer be banned from Michigan events and can begin taking on work within the scene.
