The '''sweet spot''' of a ledge is the furthest point from the edge at which a character can still grab the edge after a [[recovery]] move (usually [[up B]]).  "Sweet spot" can also be used as a verb (sweet spots, sweet spotted, sweet spotted, sweet spotting) i.e. "He sweet spotted the ledge."  Players strive to sweet spot the edge when recovering to avoid being [[edge-guarding|edge-guarded]] - a sweet spotting recovers too low to be hit by most ground attacks and is thus much safer than a character who comes above the ledge during his up B recovery (like [[Captain Falcon]] and [[Ganondorf]]).
