Articuno is one of the three legendary birds whose specific element is ice. Articuno is a large bird that has enourmous wings that are all blue. The outer-lining of it's wings are sort of a grayish-white color as well as it's stomach. Frost can be seen around Articuno as it flies. | |||

Articuno is a legendary Pokémon that appears out of Poké Balls on ''[[Melee]]''. Articuno's appearance is rare since it's a legendary Pokémon. Articuno's chance of appearing out of a Poké Ball is double in the [[event match]] [[Event 37: Legendary Pokémon|Legendary Pokémon]]. Articuno uses Blizzard as it's attack. Articuno will unleash a blast of ice from it's body. Any character that is in Blizzard's attack radius will take damage. Those characters that are in the blast radius will be frozen for a few seconds and will be subjected to an affect that is similar to the effect of [[Freezie]]. Characters that are also affected by Articuno's blizzard will be sent towards the top of the screen. Lighter characters will have a good chance of dying at low percentages from this attack.
