A Yellow 10 Pellet Posy is also in view.]]'''Pellets''' are items in the ''Pikmin'' series that generate Pikmin when transported to the onion. The number on the pellet signifies how many Pikmin are required to carry it. They are spawned from [[Pellet Posies]]. They appear on the [[Distant Planet]] stage in ''[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]]''. If a character throws one into an [[Onion]], then items will be created. They can of course also be thrown at enemies for a certain amount of damage depending on the size of the pellet. Pellets grow if left alone on their posies, from 1 to 5, and then 10. Pellets come in three colours, and any colour can be thrown into any Onion, but if the colour of the Pellet matches the colour of the Onion, then extra items will be produced:

* A 1 Pellet will generate two items.

* A 5 Pellet will generate seven items.

* A 10 Pellet will generate twelve items.

It is a common misconception that you get better items for color correspondence/rank. But this is not true, only the number of items change.

Pellets are not obtainable in any other area besides [[Distant Planet]]. Additionally, they are only spawned by Pellet Posies.
