Showcasing various tricks the character could do, he was often ranked the best Link main by people until 2.6, when others started seeing success with the character. Soon after entering the scene, he joined the Project M Development Team as a play-tester. His main focus is balance testing and he contributes to many characters, with {{PM|Ice Climbers}} being his main focus of development.

Hylian mains Shulk, Bowser Jr., and Pac-Man in Smash4. Despite the fact that he was a top brawl player, he has professed to not enjoying Smash 4 citing it as "having lost player expression somewhere in the process of adding combos without meaningful movement options". It is yet to be seen if he will be attending tournaments for the game.
