Hand Slap is Donkey Kong's Down B move.  When performing it, Donkey Kong delivers an earth-shaking blow to the ground, sending nearby enemies skyward. Because of its considerable power, consistent and repetitive damage, and large hitbox, the move is often used against CPU Teams to clear them out with little trouble. In recent hands-on gamplay, this move can hold enemies in place while it is in action. It is unknown if they will be able to release themselves.

This move is used extensively in Multi-Man Melee and Brawl to quickly kill numerous opponents without fear of attack, as Wire Frames/Alloys have no projectile attacks. The only downside is that because items appear in this mode, a DK that is immobile due to using the move is open to various traps such as a Bob-omb walking into him.

An interesting note is that as long as you keep pressing B after a hand slap, you do not have to hold down for it to continue.
