:The main reason we use Famicom R.O.B. as the default is because it's the default for Brawl, so it's more for consistency than anything. DryKirby64 (talk) 19:18, June 14, 2019 (EDT)

::True for Brawl and japanese versions, but we’re an english wiki. R.O.B.’s costume did switch, and I feel like it’s too major to just mention somewhere. Lou Cena (talk) 19:29, June 14, 2019 (EDT)

The tabs were swapped, and apparently this was an argument before. MeleeBoi makes a pretty valid point that most of us are not in Japan, so even though defaulting to the Famicom colors do make R.P.B.'s appearance consistent with Brawl, it looks pretty weird when one charter's stock icon used throughout the wiki is not the default for the regions where most of the wiki's readers will be. :It also stalls his vertical momentum, just not as much as down air. This can be easily checked in-game, especially in Ultimate with Training mode's frame advance option. Use back air in a short hop and it'll autocancel. I'd advise you don't question the content of articles if you don't actually have the Smash games (especially Ultimate), since that's where all the information comes from in the first place. Proof-checking is extremely important for any edit. :Also if you want technical proof, the scripts for R.O.B.'s back air contain a line for adding momentum (SET_SPEED_EX) which shows the three coordinates. In this case you can see the move adds momentum in both the X and Y axes (1.5 and 0.5 respectively). == About R.O.B.'s stock icon ==
I noticed that the table still uses R.O.B.'s Famicom design for his stock icon rather than his NES design that's used as the default on this wiki. The same applies for his Smash 4 page. Could it be fixed? Diddy Kongstar (talk) 00:40, April 6, 2021 (EDT)
BigBoss
BigBoss will certainly need to be in notable players after his Top 8 finish at Port Priority today, best ROB in Mexico alone is credit enough - let's just see what place he gets first and then add him in. :The belief he's the best R.O.B. in Mexico is a more recent one (he was the 3rd highest ranked R.O.B. on their last pr) that said its not an idea that I disagree with. I personally support adding him but we have to collectively decide which R.O.B. he'd replace. Personally my vote would be Epic Gabriel or Dill, but curious what others think. Wiifitkid (talk) 17:45, October 31, 2021 (EDT)
::Yeah, either Epic Gabriel on account of probably being forcibly retired, or Dill / SebPro on lower significance (comparative), the maximum of 10 definitely hurts for ROB when he's the most mained character at top level play, but just something we'll have to agree on for BigBoss' sake. :::Given 8BitMan's long string of mediocre results, a swap for Zomba also seems sensible there. ::::8BitMan had rather solid results during the online metagame, so I don't think he should be ruled out yet. I'm honestly down to remove Raffi-X, as he's no longer competing/is banned, and while his results were really good, most of it was during the second half of 2019 and the first half of 2020, so in the long term, it may not be as notable compared to the others. I do agree with removing Dill and maybe SebPro as well; two of the three should be removed in favor of BigBoss and Zomba.
