A shortcut template for unused media could be used on this wiki. I’ve been seeing media going unused within the past year, so I decided to create {{Unused}} for unused media. - Oppose. For a "specific reason" deletion template to be useful, it should provide a tangible benefit over the general one. This "unused" template is not significantly easier to type, and since the main point of speedy deletion is that an admin doesn't need to think too hard on whether to agree, doing it for the purpose of a separate category isn't very helpful either. It's not a bad template, but it's not really that useful for a shortcut, when typing {{Unused}} instead of {{d|Unused}} only saves typing two characters, is anyone really going to care about having to type an extra two characters on a maintenance template? It also has no additional utility like {{Replaced}} and {{Duplicate}} do in making it more efficient to link the replacing/duplicate image. I won't oppose it, but I won't support it either, and there is maybe something to be said about avoiding confusing inexperienced users by having excessive deletion templates. Omega Tyrant

You've been trying to push a lot of changes recently with questionable-at-best usefulness. I suggest you step back for some time and get a more solid grip on wiki operations before doing any more. Toomai Glittershine The Loony 07:42, June 14, 2023 (EDT)
It adds pages to the general speedy deletion category (Category:Candidates for speedy deletion) like the other templates, not a separate category. Jordan2009, the Sora Main Talk here 18:31, June 14, 2023 (EDT)
