:More than 15 new characters have been added to the roster since Brawl, a not-insignificant number for a character to be contending with on a tier list. If you want to look at it a more statistical manner, Jigglypuff is 36th of 38 in Brawl, which is basically in the 92nd percentile in terms of worst characters in the game. In Smash 4, she's 55th out of 55, which is in the 98th percentile. That's hardly a significant difference, and could be classified as "really really bad" in both games. ::::Well as seen in the reversion and the talk page, there are people who consider a different methodology when determining the relative power of characters across games. This is where it is problematic to use the phrasing "by far." For example, if Jigglypuff was a top tier in all three games and then dropped to the worst character in Smash 4, I don't think anyone would hesitate to argue that she underwent a severe drop in the tier list. But not everyone would agree that going from 36/38 to 55/55 would be considered a "severe drop" in the tier list, so the phrase "by far" should be omitted to avoid causing confusion or giving a false impression of community consensus on the issue.
