:::How about the fact that Sakurai went on record to say that Chrom was in between Marth and Ike? Not to mention his high polygon count does raise an eyebrow. Not to mention Chrom's model is slightly taller than Marth. Doesn't any of this raise an eyebrow? It is a plausible guess that he was planned for the game, given the (not entirely complete) legitimacy of the Gematsu leak, and most importantly, Sakurai's word on the matter. He does not downright say whether Chrom was actually in the making, or just planned and eventually dropped. So it is mere speculation as we do not know with certainty the full story.
