I like most everything you say here except for one thing. IMO, smashers can put a picture from elsewhere on the wiki, not just of themselves, in their smasherbeta. Example. This is pretty harmless, and some people (sensibly) avoid putting pictures of themselves on public wikis. Miles (talk) 02:47, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
Don't blame me, I merely cited what community consensus is. Go take it up with C. Hawk :P --Shadowcrest 02:53, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

NotabilityEdit

There absolutely must be some official SmashWiki policy that explains exactly what defines the notability required for a smasher page. Some range from reasonable to downright [Smasher:Liberator Of Animals From Suffering Or Potential Suffering|ridiculous]. Semicolon's listed many for deletion, but without a clear ruleset it's a slippery slope. Thoughts? Miles (talk) 21:09, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

SmashWiki:Crew and Smasher Page Notability Guidelines. I believe that's the proposal. – Defiant Elements +talk 21:11, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
I'll start deleting them if no-one has any straight opinion, though if I come up with one on-the-edge, I'll leave it in the cat. We can discuss here. Personally, if we delete these, I'm up for moving the smashers/crews back into mainspace and getting rid of that stupid namespace. --Sky (t · c · w) 02:16, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
Wait until the issue is decided- I'm writing up a WoT counterargument. It's just taking a while... be patient. --Shadowcrest 02:56, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
All things considered, I probably agree with Semicolon that non-notable smashers/crews should be deleted, but I think Shadowcrest (damn you for having the same initials as Semi, by the way) is right that we shouldn't actually start deleting 'til the policy's official. – Defiant Elements +talk 03:02, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
I don't know that there's any real reason to wait, but will concede the point. You've got 24 hours Shadow. --Sky (t · c · w) 03:47, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

Re-openingEdit

If we can somehow mold this into what a smasher page should be like, then it could be a usable policy. Include things such as the Smasherbeta is necessary, tourney info should be included to avoid confusion with SW:NOTE, etc. and the same can be done with crews.Smoreking(T) (c) 20:29, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

SW:NOTE is probably good enough. I'd rather not be inviting people to make smasher pages. The people with the information on the notable smashers will know/figure out what to do. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 15:43, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
I assume the same will go for SW:CREW then.Smoreking(T) (c) 16:14, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
