Fox spins very quickly while airborne, doing a drill downwards. This attack does 7 hits doing 2% damage per hit for a total of 14% damage and is an extremely weak meteor smash. Like all drill kicks, his drill can be very useful in combos, but it's very easy to SDI out of. It is more difficult to escape the move the closer it's used to the opponent. With Fox being a fast faller, Z-cancelling helps with his down aerial, particularly when used while fast-falling, though it can still be performed in a short hop and autocancelled easily. It can combo into a Fox or Fox, both of which can chain into another down aerial at low percentages. In addition, it can combo into a (onstage or offstage, the former allowing a quick shine jab to be performed and the latter being an easy shine spike setup), a grab, or an Fox for a quick and powerful vertical KO. It can also be used as a part of Fox's wall combos in the rapetent portion of Hyrule Castle, being usable in place of an up aerial after a throw before KO percentages to rack up further damage easily, than combo into a regrab.
Fox spins very quickly whilst airborne, doing a drill downwards. This attack has 7 hits, each doing 2% damage for a maximum of 14% damage, and is an extremely weak meteor smash. It can be useful for positioning opponents for combos and various setups, including being able to cover certain options from the opponent, such as rolls and tech options. If Fox lands whilst using a down aerial to do so, it is possible to followup with most of Fox's grounded moves. Like all of the drills in the game, it can be SDI'd out of, though if it is spaced properly, this generally cannot lead to punishes. The move is overall useful in most situations if it is utilized properly.
