Forum:Tips for SSBB newcomers

Forum header|Help desk Is anyone having problems defeating bosses, other players,or just need to tighten up their skills? I have a few tips that might help you.

For fighting computer/other players: One good strategy for fighting other players or CPU's is to not continually run away but to not give your enemy any mercy and continually attack them and not let them get to you.As this will raise their damage to high numbers making it easier to KO.

Another good one is to pick a flying character:Kirby,Meta Knight,King dedede,Pit,Jiggly Puff,or snake if your good. Some Really good gamers often tend to immediately pick a fight but lose focus as their only goal is to KO you.Run away if they are chasing you or make them come to you by annoying them repeatedly with taunts(best ones are Ness's OK and Kirbies HI!) until they try to attack you.Run and jump off the ledge but do not SD yourself and get somewhere not too low or too close(you may want to practice and quickly fly back up.The enemy will chase you,Try to jump and attack, fall to far,try to recover, and fall to their death.Only do this once since they will start to catch on (unless it is a mindless CPU).

For fighting bosses:If your fighting one particularly difficult boss air dodge if they try to crush or do an air dive.Which is achieved by pressing block while jumping. The meanest attacks are:Captain Falcon's Falcon punch,Snake's forward kick,Captain Falcon's Knee slam!,or lucas's basic air attack. As these will make short work of those monsters!

Hope it helps please post any other helpful hints or inform me of any needs of extra assistance (please no insults or put downs!)

Warning: The last person to offer unsolicited advice about gameplay-related elements claimed that you could control smash brothers with your mind. That kind of senseless inanity will not be tolerated. If your stuff makes sense, I will ignore it. If it doesn't, I'll rip it like I just had three or four extremely beany burritos from Taco Bell, and I promise you those are smelly. I'm not trying to intimidate you, I'm just trying to enforce my imaginary policy proposal: SmashWiki:Don't be stupid. Semicolon (talk) 06:30, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
