Celebi first appeared in the games Pokemon Gold and Silver. It made its SSB debut in Melee as a rare Pokeball pokemon that awarded the "Celebi Watcher" Score achievement and gave the Celebi Trophy. Celebi would appear on screen for a few seconds, and then fly off.
