Would something like this be acceptable? If the info on how Squirtle is received makes it too long, should that only be applied to the base forms? :I don't think it's a bad idea in theory, but what you put for Blastoise is much too long, and contains too much information not pertinent to the wiki. Just by taking your text and cutting it, this is what I would get:
:Blastoise (#009, National Pokédex) is a Water-type Pokémon that first appeared in Generation I of the series. It evolves from Wartortle and is the third and final evolutionary stage of Squirtle. Blastoise is known for the two cannons protruding from its shell, which can fire blasts of water. In ''Smash Bros.'', Blastoise uses these cannons to use Hydro Pump, a powerful Water-type move.
:All the info on how to acquire the Pokémon is irrelevant to this wiki. We can included on the starter Pokémons' blurbs that they are such, but otherwise we don't need it. People an go to bulbapedia and get all of that information, and we might even want to consider putting a blulbapedia link in the article(s). Moreover, this is less useful as its own section and more just an expanded introduction paragraph (which right now are among the worst content on the wiki anyway).
