Victra | Victra became aware of the competitive ''Melee'' scene in late 2005 after reading a article about the game in issue 195 of Nintendo Power titled "Smash Planet". The article included such topics as [[SmashBoards]], {{Sm|Ken Hoang}}, [[MLG]], and rumours about a new installment of [[Super Smash Bros.]] tentatively titled ''[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]]''. This article also included a brief description of [[wavedashing]] and other competitive techniques that had been discovered. Victra began to get involved with the [[SmashBoards]] website shortly after and started playing ''Melee'' more competitively. After this discovery, he began to teach what he learned to his friends and began building a community in his city in 2006 onwards. | ||

At the end of his senior year in 2013, Victra established a formal Super Smash Brothers student club that laid the foundation for a centralized community for the Alberta Smash scene.
