Shouldn't this be called Spamming instead? [[User:BlueRidiculous|'''''Blue''''']][[User talk:BlueRidiculous|''Ridiculous'']] 12:54, 27 January 2013 (EST)
:Nope. Spam is the noun form. '''[[User:Dr. Pain 99|DoctorPain99]]'''[[Image:DP99Majora.png]] 14:25, 27 January 2013 (EST)
::We have [[camping]] and [[stalling]] though, both named with "ing"s because "camp" and "stall" by themselves are verbs in our context. In this case however, "spam" by itself can be either a verb or a noun. So I'm not sure which is better. :::Camping and Stalling don't really have noun forms, though. I'd say that "Spam" is the closest to a noun form and therefore the proper title. '''[[User:Dr. Pain 99|DoctorPain99]]'''[[Image:DP99Majora.png]] 14:33, 27 January 2013 (EST)
::::In the context of Smash Bros, "spam" is almost always a verb, not a noun. "Spamming" is more common as a noun. :::::I concur, we should probably move this to [[Spamming]]. [[User:Air Conditioner|{{Color|Navy|Air}}]] [[User talk:Air Conditioner|{{Color|#007BA7|Conditioner}}]] [[File:AC.png|19px]] <nowiki>:|</nowiki> sucks. 17:16, 27 January 2013 (EST)
::::::Except Anon is wrong an Spamming is never a noun. lol in the context of Super Smash Bros.? Super Smash Bros. doesn't change the rules of English. And in the context of Super Smash Bros., spam can be a noun just as much as it can be a verb or an adjective, whereas "Spamming" is ''never'' a noun. '''[[User:Dr. Pain 99|DoctorPain99]]'''[[Image:DP99Majora.png]] 17:49, 27 January 2013 (EST)
:::::::Spam in this context is in the context of Smash Bros. Words clearly mean different things when applied to Smash. For example, the word [http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/gimp gimp] in normal English clearly is irrelevant to its definition on the wiki. I'd also like to point you to the term "[[griefing]]", which isn't even a [http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/griefing word] in real life. "Spamming" never being a noun is also absurd; as a gerund it can function as either a noun or a verb. "Spam," used in the definition that is followed on the wiki, is never a noun. The wiki article is clearly not talking about canned meat or advertisements, which makes using "spam" as a noun here misleading in addition to bad grammar. ::::[http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/camp Camp] does not have a noun form? It has one as valid here as the "noun form" of [http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/spam spam.] [[User:Mr. Anon|'''Mr. ''''''Anon''']][[File:Anon.png|23px|link=Special:Random]][[User talk:Mr. Anon|''talk'']] 18:41, 27 January 2013 (EST)
