Xerneas returns as a Poké Ball summon, but with changed attributes. Geomancy now only affects the fighter who summoned it, and the summoner now turns golden for the duration of the power boost.

Xerneas cannot be summoned on Arena Ferox, Balloon Fight, Brinstar, Corneria, Dream Land GB, Find Mii, Golden Plains, Jungle Japes, Living Room, Magicant, Onett, Pac-Land, Peach's Castle, PictoChat 2, Reset Bomb Forest, Spirit Train, Super Mario Maker, Suzaku Castle, Tomodachi Life, Tortimer Island, Wario Ware Inc., Wrecking Crew, or Yoshi's Island.
