Ultimate]]''.  All tracks listed here are available to play on [[Figure-8 Circuit]], {{SSB4|Mario Circuit}}, and, as of the [[List of updates (SSBU)#8.1.0 |8.1.0 update]], {{SSBU|Battlefield}}, [[Small Battlefield]], {{SSBU|Big Battlefield}}, and {{SSBU|Final Destination}}.

This is a remix of the track that plays on multiple race courses in ''{{s|mariowiki|Super Mario Kart}}'' named "Mario Circuit", it being a [[mariowiki:Mario Circuit|recurring race course]] in the ''{{iw|mariowiki|Mario Kart|series}}'' series. It reappears in ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart: Super Circuit}}'', ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart DS}}'', ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart Wii}}'', ''{{s|mariowiki|Fortune Street}}'', ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart 7}}'', ''{{s|mariowiki|Super Mario 3D World}}'', ''{{s|mariowiki|Super Mario Odyssey}}'', ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart 8 Deluxe}}'', ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart Tour}}'', and ''{{s|mariowiki|Super Mario Maker 2}}''. The remix is done in an electronic house-based style and includes the {{s|mariowiki|Starting Grid}} countdown theme to signal the start of the race, as well as using the kart engine sound effect from ''Super Mario Kart''.

It begins with the "Start Grid Fanfare (Time Trial & Battle)" jingle from said game and overall has a jazzy synthesized style including an electric guitar solo. The music track returns in ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart Wii}},'' ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart 7}}'', ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart 8}}'', ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart 8 Deluxe}}'' and ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart Tour}}''. In early soundtracks, this song was known as "Circuit" or "Circuit Select" and later on as "3 Raceways/Wario Stadium", but in ''Smash'', it only names the first race course it plays on, "Luigi Raceway", which in ''Brawl'' was named "Luigi Circuit", a literal translation of the race course's name, but was corrected in ''SSB4'' following the ''Mario Kart 64'' localization of naming a Circuit a Raceway.

This particular music track is a direct port of the {{iw|mariowiki|Rainbow Road|GCN}} theme from ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart: Double Dash!!}}'', which itself incorporates snippets of the {{iw|mariowiki|Rainbow Road|N64}} theme from ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart 64}}''.

This track is a remix of the music that plays in the {{iw|mariowiki|Waluigi Pinball|DS}} and {{iw|mariowiki|Wario Stadium|DS}} courses in ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart DS}}''. The music track returns in ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart 7}}'', ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart 8}}'', ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart 8 Deluxe}}'', and ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart Tour}}''. Unlike the original song, the remix has a hard electronic edge similar to that of Europop music. This is a remix of the track that plays on the {{s|mariowiki|Toad Circuit}} and {{iw|mariowiki|Mario Circuit|3DS}} courses from ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart 7}}'', which returns in ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart 8 Deluxe}}'', and ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart Tour}}''. A remixed segment from {{s|mariowiki|Neo Bowser City}} (also from ''Mario Kart 7'', and returns in ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart 8}}'', ''Mario Kart 8 Deluxe'', and ''Mario Kart Tour'') can also be heard, itself being a medley of "Circuit" from ''Mario Kart 7'', the title theme from ''Mario Kart 7'', "{{s|mariowiki|Toad's Turnpike}}" from ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart 64}}'' and "{{iw|mariowiki|Luigi Circuit|Wii}}/{{iw|mariowiki|Mario Circuit|Wii}}" from ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart Wii}}'', all being integrated into the ''Smash'' arrangement. Overall, the song has a brassy classic rock style with synth and organ sections and the tempo is slightly faster.

The track itself also arranges some portions of the Rainbow Road theme from ''Mario Kart 64''.

''Rainbow Road Medley'' is a medley of three different versions of the {{s|mariowiki|Rainbow Road}} track music from three ''{{iw|mariowiki|Mario Kart|series}}'' handheld titles: ''Mario Kart 7'' (which itself also arranges portions from ''Mario Kart 64'''s Rainbow Road), ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart DS}}'', and ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart: Super Circuit}}''. The medley uses a highly synthesized, brass-led style that also includes strings and guitars.

This theme is a remix of the {{s|mariowiki|Cloudtop Cruise}} theme from ''{{s|mariowiki|Mario Kart 8}}'', essentially combining the normal and the 'Thundercloud' versions of the music from the original game into an orchestral rock remix. The Cloudtop Cruise theme itself contains a remix of the {{s|mariowiki|Gusty Garden Galaxy}} theme from ''{{s|mariowiki|Super Mario Galaxy}}''. This song is rearranged by its original composer, Atsuko Asahi. Unlike the original, however, the second half includes a breakdown not found in the original and ends with a newly composed bridge and restarts rather than properly looping.

Taken directly from ''Mario Kart 8'', this track plays when players race around the DLC course, {{iw|mariowiki|Excitebike Arena}}. It is a remixed medley of the title themes and "Winners Podium BGM" theme from the NES game ''{{s|wikipedia|Excitebike}}''. The song's name is limited to the Japanese race course name of "Excitebike" instead of the full localized "Excitebike Arena".
