G-Rida

You getting crunked out in these streets...DOG.

Anyway, thanks for the vote of confidence, even though it took you a week to give it. How's things going? Clarinet Hawk (talk) 14:52, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

If you want the reason I was shy about it you can check my smasher talk page. I was a bit of a jerk to that z somebody guy, and I'm not exactly liked because I use harsh language. I was afraid that my endorsement would hurt your most worthy candidate-ship. You've always worked to improve this place and I don't want the fact that I sometimes treat it as a joke (though I have worked to improve it on several occasions and will continue to) to harm your chances.
Things, however, are going fine. These days, since I work full time and my job 2/5 days is to babysit the technology and hope nothing breaks, I have time to browse the wiki and help improve it (any tips would be nice, or perhaps links so I can learn the coding in full) on top of kind of doing my job.
How 'bout yourself? Semicolon (talk) 14:58, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
Things are going pretty well, but boring here. I play smash for a bit most days, but the retarded AI of the computers has pissed me off, so I'm mostly playing classic mode.
Anyway, the best way to learn the code is to look at it. Go a view the source code for our pages and then look at the code for some of the trophy pages. Between those, you can learn the majority of the code that you need. The, you just try to figure out the rest by making it up as you go.
Btw, I was wondering if I could put up some of the matches that we recorded when we were doing the tier lists. I've still got to work that whole thing out, but I need to get to an apple store before I can do that. There were some good fights that we recorded, though, and I was wondering if I could put those on youtube. Also, I'm working on a Zelda combo video. Clarinet Hawk (talk) 15:10, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
Go for it. Have you played anyone from the wiki yet? Semicolon (talk) 15:41, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
Nah, no one from the wiki yet. I kicked some ass everytime my wifi didn't put me on a 1.5 second delay tho. Clarinet Hawk (talk) 16:29, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
I put up the first of our friendlies. Me as Zelda v. you as Sonic. Clarinet Hawk (talk) 03:58, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Dude

were you talking to me at Kperfect's sysop nomination? Just wondering Zmario (talk) 22:04, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

What would the consequences be if I answered 'yes'? Semicolon (talk) 15:15, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Enough! Both of you. Clarinet Hawk (talk) 15:28, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

You're A Member of SLAPAHO?

I honestly didn't know that. Well, if that's the case, you must be pretty skilled. Congratulations to you. Hey, if you ever get the chance, can you tell Clarinet Hawk that we'll brawl on July 2? He's wanted me to brawl him all this time. I typed back a response, but I'm not sure if he got it or not, since he didn't respond back. Just wondering if you could do that for me. - GalaxiaD (talk) 20:56, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Sure thing. Semicolon (talk) 21:41, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Games

I need a few practice games before my big fights. Can you get a few in tonight and/or tomorrow. Also, look Smasher:Dr. Ike|here]]. If you can play like the way that guys describes that would be good. Hit me back, g-rida. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 15:07, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

That's how O.G.s do it, YA HEARD

Be on AIM tonight at 10:00 P.M. your time. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 21:57, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

The tourney will be fine. We can take care of that when we get back to school. What I need to know soon, as my parents are going in for surgery soon, is if you can come down here and drive back to Iowa with me. If you can't, would it be possible for me to stay a night at your place when I pass through Chicago? Let me know what's up with all this. If there's anyway we can speak on the phone that would be great, but I know your phone is messed up. I can call you on your house line if you can't do long distance. Let me know what's up, or give me a time to be on AIM. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 22:13, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Check your Iowa e-mail. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 00:45, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

You call that G-ridin?

The guy that Sirlin reference was named Zileas. Is it the same dude? Btw, here's his page: Camel. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 02:29, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

clash

thats vandalism, and adding speculation to pages. now, i normally act like an asshole but in a subtle manner, but that right there is a troublemaking little fanboy trying to show his other friends that lives in there mothers basement that he is "oh so kool". in anycase, next time he vandalises or adds false info to a page, im taking this to CH so he will be banned. Kperfekt722 (talk) 03:14, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Don't worry

Ax, just stay away from the youtube account for some time. Everyone I've talked to on the wiki likes both our games and our fun vids. I've got better things to do than to worry about some douche-fags that I could beat using Ness (and you know how bad I am with Ness). I'll take care of these things, at least for now. You just keep playing and having fun, and we'll see whose laughing when we win our first doubles tourney. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 15:49, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Re: Vandal

THAT is base dickery. Who does he use? Whoever it is, they will be blown away. Runer5h (talk) 23:36, 4 August 2008 (UTC)Runer5h

No, Just no

You are not maining Lucas. Remember how I wasn't allowed to main Fox in Melee, well you're not allowed to main Lucas. Maybe in the two weeks before the next Smash Bros comes out you can, because that was when I went to Fox. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 14:29, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Who?

Who's this guy you just added? Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 20:44, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Never mind. Use the Move tool next time, though. It automatically creates the new page and creates a redirect on the old one. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 20:46, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

User:Shadowcrest/policy

When I asked Clarinet Hawk who the prominent non-sysops are, I got your name- so here I am. I'm planning on trying to implement a bunch of policies that I think would improve the wiki. It would be greatly appreciated if you would point out any issues you have with any of the things listed on that page, and whether or not you think any or all of them should be implemented, and if not, why not.

Of course, I realize you have a life and other things to attend to- I don't expect this to be completed overnight ;)

If you feel inclined to do so, whenever you get the chance, it would be great if you would comment on them.

Thanks, --Shadowcrest 02:10, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

Could I ask you to either just link (not redirect) your userpage to Smasher:Ax, or redirect Smasher talk:Ax back to User talk:Semicolon? Getting to your talkpage is a pain. --Shadowcrest 02:48, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

You write: "A sysop who doesn't work hard shouldn't be a sysop. It's a qualification." Actually, some sysops should work smarter, not harder. If an admin has the ability to form community consensus where she sees dissent, identify controversial issues and resolve them before they become pressing, she doesn't actually have to appear to do a whole lot to achieve an invaluable task in keeping a wiki afloat and running. And she needn't do any mainspace edits to achieve that. I miss her.

Ah, and about Krakow, a wise man once said: "Any comparison drawn is a fallacy and ipso facto invalid." ;)

Oh, and the other thing I am mildly surprised about is that a a linguistics and communication major with a minor in Latin would stoop to retro-editing comments without any indication of the edit having taken place. --◄mendel► (talk) 01:02, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

Not sure what you're getting at.

(→moved from User talk:M.mendel)

1. "Actually, some sysops should work smarter, not harder. Okay...? We have a lot of stuff to clean up. This means we need to work harder.

2. Ah, and about Krakow, a wise man once said: "Any comparison drawn is a fallacy and ipso facto invalid." ;)

Indeed?

3. "Oh, and the other thing I am mildly surprised about is that a a linguistics and communication major with a minor in Latin would stoop to retro-editing comments without any indication of the edit having taken place. --◄mendel► (talk) 01:02, 22 August 2008 (UTC)"

I'm presuming you didn't understand the context, or you didn't bother to look. I had stated on another page, I think DE's talk page, that I would be for reconsideration if it meant they (and I would imagine you as well) would leave. With this new knowledge, it was with a mocking tone that I changed my position. I wasn't trying to insidiously hide anything from anyone. I cheerfully admit that I changed my position. I didn't change my reasoning for why I still think it's unecessary because I think it's more important that they leave.

Cheerfully yours, Semicolon (talk) 04:07, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

One more thing that surprises me that on this wiki, you like to fragment conversations as if no-one here has learned to use their watchlist. As to your reply to 1., I don't see how that follows at all. Surely you're familiar with the 5th task of Hercules?
I don't criticize you for changing your position. I criticize you for obscuring the change, because it makes people who responded to your old position look as if they responded to the new one. I've learned that the transparent way to do this is to strike the text you no longer identify with, and add (edited ~~~~~) after your original signature. This avoids to give any impression that you intend to hide anything. --◄mendel► (talk) 13:42, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

Ike6481

Um, Semicolon, I don't mean to intrude on your brawl request. You see, Ike was recently kicked out of the AD (acts of treason or something), and due to that, he doesn't come here that often anymore. I also requested a brawl from him sometime ago (although I no longer wish to brawl him),and he has yet to reply. MarioGalaxy {talk} 21:58, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

Block

Your incivility continues. I've blocked you for a day — if you do not want that extended, consider either a) leaving or b) dropping the sarcasm and blatant disregard for other contributors' thoughts and ideas. --Sky (t · c · w)

Challenged

I have yet to face Clarinet Hawk. It seems we have problems getting online at the same time. But sometime (when your block is lifted), I would have fun brawling you as well. I plan to show you why R.O.B. is viable for high tier. I don't take the current brawl list seriously and hope the SBR comes to their senses and makes a good one soon.--Oxico (talk) 22:13, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

Warning

I suggest you cut that crap out before I alert a SysOp of your behavior. --Blue Ninjakoopa (talk) 20:37, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

You weren't even there! CH admitted his play was poor because of the lag. My Wii is gone so I won't get it back until I show a decent report card. Go here to see the talk about the results of our match. You'll find out about his friend Gargomon there too. Blue Ninjakoopa (talk) 20:52, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Ganondorf in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Ganondorf, looking at you.

I'll let you think that I lost because it's obvious that you think that you were there watching the match the whole time. Shut up! And fantasy world? Please, I've heard better insults from a little boy and my feelings still aren't affected. Jesus Christ, what the **** is your problem today? You just decided to jump out of nowhere and make up crap. Now, I'm sorry if I didn't know you liked C. Hawk so much. You're way to sensetive over him. --Blue Ninjakoopa (talk) 21:14, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Um, BNK? I'd keep it down. You wouldn't wanna get banned again. Well, are you going to accept, Semicolon? MarioGalaxy {talk} 21:17, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

First of all, he never beat me and I don't think I'm better than him, so stop thinking that. You're just mad because you didn't get to play and that CH has moar friends. Secondly, stop calling me chief and master as if you respect me, because you don't neither do I to you. You like to infer stuff that isn't even true, like how you think that I know I'm better than others, when I'm not.

You did not do anyone a favor by jacking up my Smasher Page. If you wrote that you were better than someone on your smasher page, I'd inform you on it's talk page. I know I seem a little harsh, but I just got through dealing with this racist noob on Youtube and now you are starting stuff. Just leave me alone. Blue Ninjakoopa (talk) 21:27, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Left alone'd!!!! Semicolon (talk) 21:31, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

THANK YOU!!! Blue Ninjakoopa (talk) 21:33, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Idea

I got an idea. How about I team with BNK against you two? I'll need all three of your Brawl FCs, though. I'm going to ask Blue Ninjakoopa right now. MarioGalaxy {talk} 20:44, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

My wii is gone, MG. I won't get it back until my report card gets here. Until then, you can beat him.

Um, I don't know how it came to be like this, but would you and somebody else like to brawl me and MG?Smorekingxg456 (talk) 21:12, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Well Semicolon? I'm pretty good at team brawls (read the Ready Set Own|RSO article). So who will your partner be if you accept? MarioGalaxy {talk} 21:14, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

I'm fine with that. 4811-6629-6231 is my FC and 1547-4970-0643 is MG's. I'm assuming you two are going to be the type of fighters that screw a person over if they make one wrong move. Because if you are, then I'm dead.Smorekingxg456 (talk) 21:16, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Semicolon, they are so gonna own you. Good luck MG and SK! =D --Blue Ninjakoopa (talk) 21:18, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

SOmebody's gonna be let down by the end of our matches...Smorekingxg456 (talk) 21:19, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Well, Yes or No? I'll need you and your partner's Brawl FCs. MarioGalaxy {talk} 21:21, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Let's go. No items. Team attack on. Stages? Semicolon (talk) 21:23, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

I don't care about stages. Whatever ones you guys pick.Smorekingxg456 (talk) 21:26, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

  • 3 stock
  • No items
  • Team Attack on.
  • And stages I'm vetoing
  • 75 M
  • Flat Zone
  • Hanenbow
  • Luigi's Mansion
  • Mario Bros
  • Mushroomy Kingdom
  • New Pork City
  • PictoChat
  • Rumble Falls
  • Shadow Moses Island
  • Spear Pillar
  • WarioWare
  • Big Blue
  • Hyrule Temple
  • Brinstar Depths

That's that. We've registered you guys. Oh, and we're both on C-Hawk's console. Go to his page to get the FC. Semicolon (talk) 21:27, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

I'm fine with those rules. Your FC is the same as CH's right?Smorekingxg456 (talk) 21:29, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Yes. Semicolon (talk) 21:30, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

My wii is in a different room so after this I won't be on SmashWiki. Tell MG and then we'll be set.Smorekingxg456 (talk) 21:34, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Alright, I'm ready when you are.Smorekingxg456 (talk) 21:35, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

We're ready. Oh, and it's 8 min stock time. Semicolon (talk) 21:36, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Are you registered Smoreking, because you're not showing up...and we'll make the room. Semicolon (talk) 21:37, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Alright we see you. We'll make Semicolon (talk) 21:37, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

We need IM. Add Seaborgium2Oxide to your IM. Join! Semicolon (talk) 21:40, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Hey Semicolon, I keep trying to join CH's room. I keep disconnecting from Nintendo WFC. Let me make the room. MarioGalaxy {talk} 21:43, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

okay. Make sure team attack is on. Semicolon (talk) 21:46, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

We can't connect. We keep getting error messages. I need someone on IM. Semicolon (talk) 21:49, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Smoreking make the room. We're getting errors everywhere else. Semicolon (talk) 21:50, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Put team attack on! And get on the right teams...Semicolon (talk) 21:52, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Sorry about that. I lost connection. So far, I think you're winning 3-2. MarioGalaxy {talk} 22:16, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

We're having connection problems too. I think we need to call it and put it this on hold because it's starting to really crap out on us (i.e vicious lag). We can pick this up another day, then, perhaps? Semicolon (talk) 22:19, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

I completely lost my connection and couldn't get back on. I gotta say though, You guys are good. I think the final score was 3-5 you or something along those lines? I think that was the best I have ever done(which still wasn't that good)...Smorekingxg456 (talk) 22:21, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

That's not what I meant. I lost connection because my Wii turned off. I accidentilly stepped on my Wii's power cord. My connection was actually working fine. I am still able to brawl. Oh, and SK, we only had about 5 brawls. MarioGalaxy {talk} 22:22, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Oh... But anyway, I lost my connection and couldn't get back on. My wireless router is messed up because my brother did something wrong while trying to connect to Xbox live on our Xbox 360. I can get the computer to work, but not the wii.Smorekingxg456 (talk) 22:24, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Well, can we try 1-on-1? I can brawl you and C-Hawk by alternating. MarioGalaxy {talk} 22:25, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

My brother is trying to fix the Wireless Router, he says he should be able to get it in like two minutes. Can you please wait for me?Smorekingxg456 (talk) 22:27, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Never mind, its working.Smorekingxg456 (talk) 22:28, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

I'll be on the wii, waiting.Smorekingxg456 (talk) 22:29, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Okay yeah, our apartment's wireless just went down. Again. We're gonna pick up a ethernet to USB for a hard wired connection because it's at peak internet hours and there's too much traffic so it's going totally down. We do want to play again but there are too many problems at the moment. Semicolon (talk) 22:31, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

You guys wanna pick this up tomorrow?Smorekingxg456 (talk) 22:32, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

We can't do tomorrow, as we both have to work. Oh, and next time we play team attack is ON because we thought it wasn't, and we aren't playing on hanenbow because that one was banned. Semicolon (talk) 22:33, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

I only made one room, and I had all the right settings. MG made the other rooms and he made the settings.Smorekingxg456 (talk) 22:36, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

OH CRAP I completely misread the stage list. You said Vetoing not voting. I though you just misspelled it. Jesus Christ I screwed up. I'm so sorry.Smorekingxg456 (talk) 22:37, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Well, if that's the case, I'll try to elimiante you, regardless. By the way, I didn't pick Hanenbow, I picked Final Destination each time. MarioGalaxy {talk} 22:38, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Hey guys, if you want to instant message each other, I would suggest using an actual instant messenger rather than flooding Recent Changes. Thanks. (This message took three tries to submit because of edit conflicts.) --Kirby King 22:39, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Oh, sorry...Smorekingxg456 (talk) 22:40, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

It's no biggy about the stage, just a future reference thing. And as far as the settings goes, someone didn't do it right because we have the games recorded, and we watched them, and team attack is clearly OFF for all of them and we had no idea. Oh, and sorry bout the RC flooding. We actually have to go, so we'll find time to play you guys again soon. Semicolon (talk) 22:41, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Well, I'm going to brawl another friend of mine (who I've met in real life), so I'm done on this talk page. And Kirby King, the changes to this page were the only recent changes (Other than GalaxiaD's talk page, although that was me, GalaxiaD, and Flowel). MarioGalaxy {talk} 22:42, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

That was all good. But, yeah. Team attack better be on next time. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 02:02, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

It's alright

I accept your apology. I'm sorry too, I forgot that CH beat me the first time. No, there aren't any hard feelings =)

I'm glad you understand. I now see how good of a person you are. I fixed up my smasher page up. You should check it out. Blue Ninjakoopa (talk) 00:59, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

you know what'd be great?

if you tryed be unconstructive to smasher pages. thanks KP317 (talk) 21:04, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

oh, oh really? i must have have just imagined placing 18th in a city region tournament. secondly, you dont know how good i am. isai is nothing, NOTHING! ken hoang is easily great, and he talks trash too, but at least he can back it up. dont judge my skills, you my former sponser? star video games, they should still have an ebay account. till then, back off. you wouldnt be fit to feed my dog, let alone say i embarress myself. KP317 (talk) 17:29, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

So you're asking KP for a brawl? Well, while you're waiting for a response, why not brawl me? How about a tag-team brawl? You can play with CH, but this time, I'm teaming with my little brother. Leave a reply. MarioGalaxy {talk} 22:05, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

You're teaming with him because I suck, right? FINALLY SOMEBODY GETS THE POINT IM TRYING TO PROVE!Smorekingxg456 (talk) 22:07, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

Sorry Smoreking, that's not the reason why. I'm just used to teaming with my brother. Check the Team section of the AD article, and you'll see what I mean. MarioGalaxy {talk} 22:09, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

I know you're used to your brother, I just thought somebody was understanding that I suck...Smorekingxg456 (talk) 22:12, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

hes not challenging me. and if he is, he knows how it goes. KP317 (talk) 22:13, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

Well, since he's not responding, I take it he's not online. I'll just ask GalaxiaD then. MarioGalaxy {talk} 22:15, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

oh you do wanna play me. well, first of all, i have been in other tournaments, just not ones larger then that (64 competitors for the N64 i guess). anyways, you must not know how it goes. beat my lesser, grahamcracker, before you challenge me. unless its a crew battle, thats how it flys. and my wii will be back from repairs in maybe a week or so? my wifi will be back up by then too. destroying you will be my first step towards reaching isai. KP317 (talk) 23:06, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

sorry, he doesnt have wifi. he plays over here or at harleys (hes not going to harleys anyways). you fell into a rather large trap my friend. you should have known how stuck up i am in the first place. graham beats me in matches many times. on a good day, he might 3 stock me. but you see, i am tactical and play mind games outside the game, proving me better in more serious matches. if i was not to confuse him outside the game, whether it be strange comments or intimidating him, he would best me. you will be destroyed one handed. what control style do you use? KP317 (talk) 00:20, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

I think my head just exploded from the epicness of that sentence.Smorekingxg456 (talk) 00:22, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
Or the epicness of it's incoherence? Semicolon (talk) 00:24, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

sorry, i fixed it. anyways, what control style do you use, so i can tell if your really just using one hand. KP317 (talk) 00:35, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

if your a sysop then you have bigger issues then that. he plays at my house and harleys. go ban the goddamn vandal whos fuckin shit up all over the wiki. KP317 (talk) 01:01, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

*rubs temples* this wiki would be better run by monkeys. KP317 (talk) 01:07, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

He's not a sysop. And neither are you. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 01:08, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

oh yeah, thats right. because if either of us were, we could have reverted that before he made 9 different articles and categories. but, we're not, so thats just what could have been. KP317 (talk) 01:12, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

With the way you're talking, it's looking like you goal is never to be a sysop... Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 02:34, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

*sighs* cant he just fuckin promote you to sysop? your his roommate, god... KP317 (talk) 02:44, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

LOL! that probably pissed you off because you didn't get an answer to this whole thing again. anyways, GRAHAM PLAYS ONLINE OVER HERE!!! KP317 (talk) 02:45, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, only C-Hawk's. If you wanna play, C-Hawk is outta town (he'll be back tomorrow) and the Wii is presently being tied up with my TV tuner card, which means I'm doing some video editing to put out SLAPAHO Epic #3: Raise the Roof! hopefully sometime tonight or tomorrow. I liked that Zelda video :( --Shadowcrest 00:37, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

We were getting flamed about it like mad, and I had to prep our youtube account because it's going to be getting a lot more traffic soon. I applied to be part of the AllisBrawl content team, and so there's gonna be links to it like crazy to demonstrate some of the points in my articles. For the sake of credibility we needed to avoid having stuff up that would incite flamers, trolls and idiots. We know, though. We liked them too, and thought they were some good games, especially because they were in like the first and second months of the game coming out. However, if you liked it, Aaron's working on a Zelda combo video, so if you like Zelda, he's been compiling some BA combos and such. Semicolon (talk) 00:41, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

...flamed? Why? And I look forward to the Zelda video; since I lack wifi capabilities, I've never seen other Zelda players other than computers (lulz) or my friends, who learned it from me :P --Shadowcrest 20:01, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
They were saying that we sucked; were horrible/bad/curses etc. And it was all over the place on the bulletin and stuff. Made me kinda angry, but for my part I guess it was true. I'm a bad Sonic, and Sonic's a bad character, but this is why I gave my little rant about the Smash community on the forum some time ago. I visited Smashboards for a while, and while I myself was never flamed, but just perusing you can see how prevalent the verbal abuse is, and it's not only from the members but from the Smash Back Roomers. It's terrible, and just the general incivility prompted in large part my contempt of the 'authorities' on Smash Bros. You may say 'Well, gee SC, you do the same thing on the Wiki' but that's not precisely true. I have on occasion made an ass of myself, per se, but I've not meant to tear anybody down to complement my own pathetic existence. So yeah, that had nothing to do with the Zelda video. But there it is. :) Semicolon (talk) 20:30, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
I thought for a second there I was being insulted. The same thing happened on IRC when you came up; someone said "SC..." and I thought "wut?" And I have no desire whatsoever (PvX has filled up my capacity to deal with excessive trolling for quite some time) to even look over smashboards, so I must assume it's like pvx. If it is, then I assure you you're like a box of rainbows and lollipops compared to them :P
If you ever post a srsbsns fight with C.Hawk as Zelda, I'd love to see it. After all, you know how much I love srsbsns :P --Shadowcrest 21:40, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
Now that I think about it, we may have a place for our friendlies. We have an account tied to one of my email accounts that's hosting our SLAPASTICK video. Maybe that's where we'll put them. Oh, and I'm always srsbzns. My srsbsns almost made it sound like I was insulting you, lolz. You should check out our upcoming project (it's in the watercooler) SmashWiki: The Movie. You have a prominent role in the film with the understanding that you can take a joke, so you ought to find it quite amusing when it comes out. Semicolon (talk) 21:48, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

RE: AD vandalism

Well, like most vandals, they're IP addresses, so I don't know. You're probably right, though. I don't know who else would do that stuff. Cheezperson {talk}stuff 04:53, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

semicolon, i was bored so i read you & cheez's conversation about vandalism on the AD page. well, everyone thinks that the vandal is ike6481 in disguise. Xtrme (talk) 14:28, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, he's probably the prime suspect. I'm surprised the sysops haven't NOTICED THIS AND BANNED THE GUY WHO KEEPS DOING IT (that was subtle enough : ) Cheezperson {talk}stuff 22:14, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

I doubt it was Ike again. The first time he did it, he wrote the word "rubbish" in most of the sections (he's British, and that's an insult in England). This guy just vandalized like most vandal IPs. MarioGalaxy {talk} 22:17, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

But who else could it be? Why would a random IP guy vandalize a fairly new crew instead of anything else here? Also of note is that PG's section was left untouched the last time. I'm not saying it was him (why would he do that to his own crew?), but it's worth noting. Cheezperson {talk}stuff 22:20, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

I think Shade said his wasn't harmed either. Besides, the AD was made December 2007 (that's around 10 months). MarioGalaxy {talk} 22:22, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

I thought that the AD was formed in the past couple of months. Oh well, that's beside the point. What I'm saying is that it has to be someone that has actually heard of the crew and doesn't mind getting banned from here. Cheezperson {talk}stuff 22:31, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
Please remember to assume good faith. Unless you can come up with definitive evidence that the IPs in question (also take note all the recent IPs are different) are User:Ikewhatever, do not accuse or otherwise persecute him. If you wish to make negative comments about him, take them off wiki. --Shadowcrest 22:32, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Well then it's clearly not Ike. He's not stupid. If he was, he wouldn't have been in the crew. MarioGalaxy {talk} 22:35, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Well, yeah (I didn't even know Ike that well). I'm just saying that whoever's doing it clearly knows who we are. Cheezperson {talk}stuff 22:39, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
OK, I did a little research. The second to last guy who did it had something against MG (check his contributions for proof). The last guy has no other contributions, so I dunno about him/her. Maybe a sock-puppet account? Cheezperson {talk}stuff 23:28, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

He seeked a Brawl, I joined, put my name to SLPHO, and put my Up Taunt to "SLAPAHO BRAWL NOW!" I ended the match in a no contest, and then I wrote, CHECK SMASHWIKI! on the Roster page. He logged off. I think he noticed now. MarioGalaxy {talk} 01:05, 25 October 2008 (UTC)

Galaxia's seeking a Brawl, so just get online. I know how to get to IRC, but I don't know how to use it. Either way, since Galaxia's online, he won't be able to see his computer (if he did, he wouldn't have kept brawling). MarioGalaxy {talk} 01:14, 25 October 2008 (UTC)

Thanks Semi (for being a friend and trying to help me). Anyway, I've had a couple of IPs annoying me (one of them tried framing me for vandalism like this moron, although he was dumber; you can read about him on CH's vandalism section of his talk page), but Flowel's just a rival crew member (although he made 3 of our members quit because he said their crew's better), not a vandal. I think it's just because I'm a featured User or something. MarioGalaxy {talk} 01:48, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

That's not why we quit. I don't know how many more times I have to say it. Shade (talk) 01:55, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

Well, considering that comment was old, and I read your user page, I know why you quit (strangely, although some of them said that you liked voodoo or something, some kids say I'm one of the most depressing kids in my school; then again, I'm a gamer, and I'm talking about school here). Anyway, changing the sunject: Hey Semicolon, are you able to brawl this weekend? GXD and I were gonna ask you last weekend (Halloween), but I had to go out, there was the article, the cleanup, Shade fixed, anyway, you get the point. So can you brawl this weekend? Tiers

hello, semicolon. I have been reading up on some of your in-depth descriptions and opinions relating to tiers. Firstly, I would like to point out that any tier, unless voted by a large number of people, will always be biased to some extent, as all characters can be played by different people to different extents. Secondly, I think you should understand that the majority of people who are telling you that 'tiers don't exist' are probably referring to the fact that the tiers in existance are wrong, not that they physically shouldn't or don't actually exist. And thirdly, the arguement you have created is, in itself, biased as you believe tiers do exist. You have described people that believe in tiers in a positive way, referring to them as professionals, when this is not necessarily the case. Professionals of any kind will rarely ever have the same beliefs on any subject.

You should take into consideration that you know what you are talking about and use that skill to point out a less biased view as to why tiers exist in your eyes. They cannnot exist as proof of how well a character can be played because different people play by different strategies. --↓LINKS-ASSISTANT↓ (talk) 18:47, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Well, you obviously didn't read or missed some of the points in the writing. We are not trying to defend any one specific tier list, but only to prove that tiers do exist. As for the question of pros who do or don't believe in tiers, we defined a professional not as someone who believes in tiers, but simply as someone who plays Smash for money and consistently wins tourneys. Analysis shows that virtually all of these such people believe in tiers. Faulty analysis would argue that they believe in tiers, ergo they are pros. This is not the case. Regression analysis would show that the two are correlated, yet not causally related. Different people can play a character differently, but that in no way changes the fact that each character has a different local maximum for its effectiveness. Finally, I don't see how this is biased except through the faulty reasoning that it proves a point that some people are biased towards, ergo it is biased. This is again not legitimate argumentation. Just because an argument can have people biased towards certain points of it, that does not mean that any and all research conducted on it is biased. If you want to critique our methods and logic to reach the conclusion, that is fine. However, don't critique the conclusion simply because factual evidence leads to a conclusion that is the same one that bias can lead to. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 22:41, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

OK, I can see the way you think now, and I do agree that all characters have a limit that they can be played to , especially in professional terms. I was looking at the tiers through how well they can be played by everyone I know, whereby the tier created was completely scattered. semicolon, I do have already a 'tier' of my own. It is based on a combination of things:

Likeability Originality Final Smash Learning curve/moveset drawbacks Recovery Multiple opinions of skill of the character

It does not take into account speed or power, but the ratio of the two, As all characters have variances in speed against power (ie Bowser and Donkey Kong opposed to Meta Knight and Fox).

This has been produced however not yet published on SmashWiki.

Thanks for signing up for out AiB tournament! Are you both participating or just one of you? Shade (talk) 17:39, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

Meh, the only reason I even mentioned him ignoring me is because this is not the first time this has happened...as a matter of fact, he's only ever talked to me that time I got into an (idk if it even deserves to be called this) argument with Blue. But anyways, thanks again for attending! Shade (talk) 22:04, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

I take it you don't like Defiant? Well, last time I saw him, he was supporting Miles' idea for a new RfA process (that was during the "incident", so that was a long time ago. MarioGalaxy {talk} 23:41, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

Just thought you should know, we started the tournament early. The bracket is already up and Deity is your first opponent. Best of luck and thanks again for signing up! Shade487z 22:06, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

1. I know that with online play it's really hard sometimes to attend things that's set for a specific date and time. So for my tournaments, all you have to do contact him and figure out when you two can fight. You have from today until midnight (central time) of next Monday to do your matches.

2. I tried getting Flowel to attend but he didn't want to. We may be friends, but he thinks we (as well as everyone else here) are scrubs and therefore doesn't want to attend it. Shade487z 22:37, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

Check the tournament description. We're using standard SBR rules. That means that all matches are best 2/3, except for the finals, which is best 3/5. Shade487z 23:28, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

Hey C. HawkSemicolon. I've been wondering about this from sometime too. Are you referring to some type of capture card or something? MarioGalaxyTalk 23:05, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, you did say something a few months ago about having recorded our team matches (Me and GXD) against you guys. Well, either way, I have to go for the time being (stupid HW). Hmm, you think you can help me with some tech stuff some other time? I take it that first reason wasn't so good. Anyway, I'm done with today's HW, even though there's probably a snowday tomorrow. So, as I was asking, how would you capture footage with different angles? Does the capture device also record the footage with you moving the camera? I know it sounds like a stupid question, but I'm just trying to get the hang of it so that when I get a capture device, I get an idea of how to use it; my biggest tech accomplishments are sad really, since the best I've done is made a VGMV, Video Game Project video, and History Project video with WMM, and install my Guitar Hero Mic to my laptop to use for Audacity. MarioGalaxyTalk 03:20, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
Basically, all that a capture card or convertor box is going to do is take whatever is on your screen and capture it onto your computer, so your limitation is within the game itself. If you want different camera angles, I think you best bet is to play a match and then record the replay. From there, you can manipulate the camera however I like. The hang up is that a good quality capture card is going to cost decent money (40-60 bucks). My card was about 25, and I regret not putting up more for it, because the software that came with it is a piece of crap. I got it to work because I have a screen capture program that will record what's displayed on my computer, because the record function on the software that came with my card doesn't work :(. The other thing that you need to consider is what kind of computer you have, does it have an available (probably) PCI-e slot, will the motherboard support the card, and if it's close enough to connect to the computer. Also, you are absolutely going to want to buy a signal splitter. If you don't, your recording will end up like Giant Bowser v Giant DK (see the link on the SLAPAHO page) where we recorded it with a half a second delay and thus watched it and played it with the lag. If you split the signal, no worries. If you link me to whatever you plan on buying, whenever you plan on buying it, I will take a look at it for you to see if it's good or not, and if it will work if you give me the specs of your computer etc. Hope that helps. Don't be afraid to come to me with any questions you have about this stuff. Semicolon (talk) 04:26, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

Hey Semi, I don't have time to log in right now, but it's MG. I need to ask one more question about a certain capture device. What do you know about iRecord? I have to go now, so just leave a reply and I'll read it tomorrow morning. K? 69.120.33.166 04:36, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

I have not. Is it an Apple application? I don't really use Apples much; C-Hawk does more stuff with those. What're you thinking of doing with it? Semicolon (talk) 05:55, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
This is all I know about it. I don't have one, but I just wanted to know if anyone knows how to work one. MarioGalaxyDeath has a price. I've paid it... 21:24, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, that's probably not what you're looking for, for a couple of reasons. (1) It's at best 120 bucks, (2) It will, eventually, do what you want it to do, but it's whole purpose is to avoid the computer as a receptor of the information, so you'd have to put your videos on the IRecord, then on an Ipod, then on your computer, then to Youtube. What you're looking for is more like this if you're going for lower quality but much easier interface, or this if you're looking for harder interface but probably better quality. Notability Policy

I am inable to find said policy. May I receive a link to the notability policy page? --O2 (talk) 00:32, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

SW:NOTESZL.pngUP/T/O 00:33, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
Thanks SZL. Semicolon, I had seen it and taken care of it before you replied on my page. There is a delete tag on my smasher page.....I didn't qualify. --O2 00:58, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

So, are these guys not notable enough to stay? Y462 (TCE ) 01:05, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

Well...

IDK whether to take that as a PA or just creepy. "Handsome" Hollywood K. 06:40, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

I'm... Asking myself the same question as before. "Handsome" Hollywood K. 06:42, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

...Are you high? Anyways, I've been looking to talk to your little entourage for a while now. I'd like to know why the AD article got taken down but articles like Papercut & Code Blue are staying up... "Handsome" Hollywood K. 06:46, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

We do stuff competitively, not our fault if it can't be local. Besides, JtM actually does live tournaments from time to time and MJ and I will be hosting one in march. Shade487z 13:24, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
The simple answer is that they're going down as get around to them. --Sky (t · c · w) 19:35, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

LOL, your always funny in serious ways. "Handsome" Hollywood K. 08:16, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

Good luck cleaning up the History of the Midwest article. Also, why did C. Hawk add the example image? MarioGalaxyTalk

If he did it, he didn't mean to. He says he may have broken the code somewhere. Don't worry; I'll take care of it. Semicolon (talk) 18:27, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

Would you

I did. To C.Hawk. Congrats. Semicolon (talk) 06:12, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Congrats are not quite in order yet, but thank you enormously. GutripperSpeak

A question

About the notaility policy. Would it be acceptable to "save" an article that does not meet the requirements of SW:NOTE by moving it to a user subpage? Y462 (TCE ) 03:48, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

I'm going to go with no. The point of the notability policy was to clean up the content from the wiki. Also, nine times out of ten, the Smasher and crew information that is targeted by the policy is already on the main user page. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 06:42, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, well...

SLAPAHO wasn't exactly involved as much in all the hating like we 3 crews were. Join if you want, either one of you, though...the more the merrier! Shade487z 04:39, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Yep

You are right. I was stupid. I should do what you posted. I will do it! SapphireKirby777 13:53, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
