Things to Import

Please feel free to cross off things as they are completed and add them if they're missing. Miles (talk) 21:04, 29 September 2010 (EDT)

Also Special:WantedPages.

Don't put all your stock in WantedPages, since links in templates will be inflated due to the number of times that template appears (note how high various Pokémon are because of the Pokémon template). Toomai Glittershine Data Node 10:48, 30 September 2010 (EDT)

User Requests

Users may request that users import certain pages (for example one's own talk page, if it's too big for a user's connection to upload properly). Other importing/uploading requests may be placed here.

  • Please do not re-upload the hitbox images. I plan to give them a once-over. Toomai Glittershine Data Node 17:18, 6 October 2010 (EDT)
  • My upload speed is crap. If someone could upload my old talk page + archives, I'd massively appreciate it. (If you need me to move it once you upload it, please inform me on the oldwiki talk page.) Miles (talk) 17:38, 30 September 2010 (EDT)
  • Be on the lookout for redlinked images! If you find one, upload the image from SmashWikia under the identical name. Give credit to the original uploader! Miles (talk) 18:07, 2 October 2010 (EDT)
  • I can mass-download and upload images using a robot. Please let me know if you want me to do this! Power to the People! (talk) 16:44, 6 October 2010 (EDT)

Renaming

Sigz plz.--MegaTron1XD:p 22:47, 24 October 2010 (EDT)

I sent another Special:Contact about that the other day but haven't heard back yet. If they want proof I may point them to the SW:WIKIAFREE page, which has 27 signatures (more sigs than active users). Toomai Glittershine Data Node 22:56, 24 October 2010 (EDT)
Looks like the name change went through. Miles (talk) 23:18, 24 October 2010 (EDT)

"SmashWikidian" vs "SmashWikian"

I've noticed a lot of people have been using the term "Smashwikidian", which simply sounds awkward. Some people have said the reason for this is to distinguish us from SmashWikia, but for one, I think that it is SmashWikia's responsibility to distinguish themselves from us, and also, wouldn't "SmashWikier" work better for that? Mr. AnonMatchupUnknown.pngtalk 15:58, 29 October 2011 (EDT)

Not at all. BlindColours Thank you for reading my sig. 18:22, 29 October 2011 (EDT)
Can you clarify that statement? Mr. AnonMatchupUnknown.pngtalk 18:31, 29 October 2011 (EDT)
SmashWikier is an incredibly bad name and SmashWikian is also bad, SmashWikidian works the best. Say them out loud, which sounds the best? BlindColours Thank you for reading my sig. 19:40, 29 October 2011 (EDT)
Um, say "SmashWikidian". That is certainly less smooth than simply "SmashWikian". Grammatically, it should be "SmashWikian". Concerns have been raised that such a name is too similar to "SmashWikia", but it is there responsibility to change their adjectives, not ours.
