Nolimar

Nolimar refers to a fighting style in which one plays as Olimar without using any Pikmin. Although undeniably a less effective strategy than playing with Pikmin, it is not completely ineffective. Nolimar can also refer to the character himself, such as in the context "I was playing as Nolimar," meaning "I was playing as Olimar with no Pikmin."

Without using Pikmin, Olimar is limited to only eight moves: his neutral attack combo, forward tilt, down tilt, up tilt, neutral air, dash attack, down special, and Final Smash. Even with only these 8 moves, Olimar can still KO opponents; his ftilt and dtilt have enough knockback to kill opponents with moderately high damage. His down special can give him super armor if used at the right time, helping him to survive longer. His Final Smash is still immensely powerful.
