20XX Melee Training Hack Pack is a hack of Super Smash Bros. Melee made by achilles1515, that is designed to help players train for tournaments. 20XX is current on its version 4.07++ (released July 4th, 2017). Character attacks and attributes are normally unchanged, although various options exist to alter their performance for training (such as auto L-Cancel) or fun (SD Remix alts) so players can take what they have learned from 20XX and play Melee normally.
Major Changes
- The default rules are set to tournament rules (4 stocks, 8 minutes, items off, etc.).
- All characters and stages are unlocked immediately.
- The pause camera can rotate and zoom out freely.
- A list of Action Replay codes and other settings, in a fashion that is similar to the debug menu replaces Tournament Mode.
- Customizations like editing the color Final Destination and changing the platforms of Battlefield are included.
- After a match is complete, A and B can be held to start another match with the same characters, stage, and settings. This is also known as a salty runback. This can also be done in the middle of a match by pressing the "exit match" sequence of L + R + A + Start, but adding B to the button presses. ( L + R + B + A + Start ).
- Stage striking is available on the stage select screen by pressing Y. Stages are removed by pressing X.
- Certain stages have been modified to closer match that of a tournament-viable stage, getting rid of stage hazards and changing the overall shape of the stage.
- Useful modifications like flashes on successful or failed L-cancels for helping players time L-cancels.
- The character will flash red when an L-cancel is missed, and white when the player succeeds at timing the L-cancel. Both can be toggled in the debug menu.
- Most normally single-player-only stages, such as the All-Star Rest Area and Trophy Tussle stages, are playable in versus mode.
- Alternate costumes, such as SNES Captain Falcon and Zombie Falco, are usable by selecting a specific costume while pressing the L or R button.
- Additionally, pressing Z while selecting certain characters will allow the usage of the Master Hand (Pichu), Crazy Hand (Pikachu), Fighting Wire Frames (Captain Falcon and Peach), Giga Bowser (Bowser), Sheik (Zelda), and Solo Popo (Ice Climbers).
- Longer nicknames, along with lowercase letters and additional characters to use.
