Yoshi (ヨッシー, Yoshi) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He was confirmed on June 12th, 2018.

Changes from Super Smash Bros. 4

Aesthetics

• Yoshi always face the screen regardless of direction he turns. Because of that his stance is now mirrored, and so is his moveset.
• When Yoshi grabs his opponent, they now cause his cheeks to comically puff out.

Attributes

• The eggs from Egg Throw can bounce.
• Yoshi's back aerial animation appears to be faster.
• Yoshi now has armor on his Yoshi Bomb, though it is unknown whether it is heavy armor or super armor.
