Hitbox visualization showing Dr. Mario's up special, Super Jump Punch.
Overview[edit]
This move is similar to Mario's, being stronger but covering less overall distance. Unlike Mario, Dr. Mario can't wall jump out of the move, or at all, hindering his recovery potential on most stages.
The move can be slightly angled forward using the control stick, at the cost of vertical height. If the control stick is tilted in the opposite direction within the first four frames while being performed on the ground, the move will cancel into landing lag. Up-B canceling helps primarily out of shield, though also with tech-chasing (hit 1's set knockback is enough to always knock down every character) and combos generally.
