Mario (smash red) Mario is a character without any glaring weaknesses and plenty of strong attacks: he's even equipped with a Meteor Smash. He's a straightforward character who'll reflect the actual skills of the player.

No. It seems that Nintendo thinks that Mario is a perfectly balanced character. It also seems to think that the entire character roster is perfectly balanced. But Mario and the roster are not perfectly balanced. And Mario dosen't have much of a history of winning proffesional tournaments. What this trophy appears to be claiming is compltere nonsense. - There's a rather significant difference between Nintendo's balance (which applies to the entire game) and tournament balance (which only applies to a particular ruleset). In termed of Mario being "balanced", I don't think that's what the trophy is claiming - I think it's saying that, since Mario has no strange physics or unusual characteristics, and he has a pretty even mix of various kinds of moves, he's easy to do well with. That doesn't mean that he won't be surpassed once the others catch up. (Although Mario technically is balanced in terms of game physics; all weight and fallspeed calculations have him as the baseline.) Toomai Glittershine

I didn't mean unbalanced by his speed and such but by his move set. He's probably the only character with a move exactly like cape, for example. And the trophy isn't exactly clear but I'm just saying that if it's saying that pros will do best with Mario it's WRONG. Tuth the tough Mii You got owned! Visit Mint Brick Wiki!
