Main information
Hi! My name's Dan. I'm 19, and I'm a casual/competitive (NOT professional) smasher from Georgia. I have been playing Super Smash Brothers ever since early 2002, in the days of Melee. So, that means I've been playing the game for over half of my life already! ^_^
My overall skill level through all four games: Highly experienced.
Trivia
Smash 64
- My three mains are Mario, Pikachu, and Kirby.
- My least favorite character is Link.
- I played Smash 64 in between January 26, 2008 and some time in the middle of 2011 (can't remember when or why... bummer.).
Melee
- My three mains are Captain Falcon, Dr. Mario, and Mewtwo.
- My least favorite character is Yoshi.
- I played Melee in between early 2002 and January of 2015, where my only Melee disc stopped working and called it quits.
Brawl
- My three mains are Lucario, Olimar, and Sonic.
- My least favorite character is Jigglypuff.
- I played Brawl in between its launch date of March 9, 2008 and April of 2013, because I was losing my Brawl skill (where I was getting into a "Melee Revival").
Project M
- My three mains are Ganondorf, Mewtwo, and Samus.
- My least favorite character is Ice Climbers.
- I don't play casually, but rather competitively. I started playing competitive Project M on September 27, 2014.
Smash for 3DS/Wii U
- My mains: Greninja, Shulk, Palutena, Mario, Pikachu, Zero Suit Samus, Pikachu, Megaman and Peach. Sometimes Samus, Link and Captain Falcon. Lots of variety!
- I have played Smash for 3DS since its launch date on October 3, 2014.
- I have played Smash for Wii U since its launch date on November 21, 2014. Smash for Wii U is my #1 favorite game, and it's one of those games I'm really good at (though my For Glory Win-Loss ratio of 48%-52% isn't the best... but I'm trying!).
Future DLC Ideas
Characters
- Galacta Knight (My overview: A slightly stronger (though slightly slower) clone of Meta-Knight with slightly increased range. His Final Smash could be using his lance to summon a barrage of fire pillars (similar to the ending of Pit's Three Sacred Treasures) as a nod to Kirby's Return to Dream Land.)
Reason: I haven't ever seen anyone suggest this great boss, so I guess I'm the first throwing it on here.
- Black Shadow (My overview: A clone of Captain Falcon whose strength and speed are between his and Ganondorf's, with some altered angles on his attacks. His Final Smash could be a copy of Captain Falcon's, that being: he would summon the Black Bull and use it to run over his opponents.)
Reason: F-Zero needs more reps!
- Kamui (My overview: A clone of Lucina whose attacks deal slightly less damage and knockback, but is compensated by increased range (almost as far as Marth's in Melee) and slightly improved mobility. Her Final Smash could involve summoning a Dragonstone to fire a scorching hot beam of energy in a combination of Samus' Zero Laser and Zelda's Light Arrow.)
Reason: Fire Emblem: Fates just got released in Japan.
Stages (3DS version)
Reason: Considering the Metroid series has been "dormant" since 2010, I think we need a bit of past representation to bring back the series.
Reason: Given that Mewtwo was just released in Smash 4, it would be nice to trace back to the generation of its introduction.
Reason: Since F-Zero hasn't had too much representation in Smash, it would be nice to take a nice memory trip back to the age of the N64.
Reason: Despite having two representatives instead of one, the Mother series has only had three games instead of six (I'm comparing this to the F-Zero universe). So I can consider the series to have the same popularity level as said series (2 x 3 = 6, 1 x 6 = 6), but I still feel like the Mother franchise needs more "past" representation.
Reason: Not for any particular reason, but I think it would be nice to see the upward scrolling levels in Smash 4 again.
Reason: Dr. Mario hasn't had a single stage of his own despite representing the largest universe in Smash 4. So I feel it's time that Nintendo should do him justice.
Reason: Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D was a good game on the 3DS but I just thought it should've been represented in Smash for 3DS. And out of all levels in the game, I thought this one looked the best.
Reason: I find it interesting that A Link Between Worlds was only represented in Smash for Wii U, so I feel it would make sense to include a stage like this on the 3DS.
Reason: Metroid Fusion has had very little representation in Smash 4 except for some music, a trophy and a costume swap. And considering we haven't had that many ice stages in Smash 4, this would be a great entry!
Reason: I was quite disappointed to see Yoshi's New Island not get represented in Smash for 3DS, so thus this stage would do a great thing for the game. It would even become the perfect 3DS version scrolling stage!
Reason: It is nice to have a Dream Land from the original Kirby's Dream Land, but putting in a level from the newer Kirby games would be nice too. I picked this level because I thought it had the most appeal out of all Kirby Triple Deluxe levels.
Reason: This level appears in Star Fox Command and Star Fox 64 3D, so this is double representation! Also I picked it because it's in the middle of the latter of the two.
Reason: I feel it's time to bring the heart and soul of Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver (OK, it was a bad pun) into Smash 4 with a stage like this. This stage could even feature some other Pokemon as stage elements!
Reason: F-Zero: GP Legend needs some representation in this game, so I thought, "Why not include a lesser-well-known location?" So I decided Lightning (Volute I, by the way) was the best fit.
Reason: Time for some nostalgia. With the recent release of Earthbound: Beginnings on Virtual Console, I thought this would make for a great stage (considering the Magicant stage was from the same game and is even on the same version of Smash 4) with plenty of potential.
Reason: Roy's our boy! But with that out of the way, his return for Smash 4 would become a perfect reason to include a stage from a great GBA classic.
Reason: This stage would be a great "cycling and touring" type of stage representing the Aurum enemies from Kid Icarus: Uprising. Also the music would be pretty good too!
Reason: We need a third Wario series stage so I thought putting in different microgames would do the trick here.
Reason: I think it would be more than nice to represent Sonic Rush with one of the most underrated levels in the game. Also it appeared in Sonic Generations.
Reason: Metal Man had the best weapon in the Mega Man series! Also his stage is nice and his music: AWESOME.
Stages (Wii U Version)
Reason: We need some nostalgia here. If Pac-Man and Mega Man (and a few others) get stages in their classic forms, then so should Mario.
Reason: This was the largest stage in Smash 64! Also the Wii U can handle really large stages. 'nuff said.
Reason: A stage that was fun back in Melee. This is one stage that brought memories with the falling bombs!
Reason: Noone knew the Ice Climbers would no longer be playable in this game. At least return their Melee stage to the Wii U version!
Reason: Another stage that was fun (and climactic) back in the days of Brawl with Dialga, Palkia and Cresselia duking it out in the background. Someone put this in the game as DLC!
Reason: I was surprised that there was no Paper Mario series stage in Smash for Wii U, so an upward-scrolling stage like this would do Super Paper Mario lots of justice.
Reason: I think we need another minecart level. Kirby's Great Cave Offensive just isn't enough for me here...
Reason: This level would be a great pick for Smash Wii U DLC because this is the second game in the series (after The Wind Waker) to correctly do a water level!
Reason: Dark Samus made her debut in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes so I thought a little representation from that game would be nice as a stage.
