Article on Wikipedia Duck Hunt

The Duck Hunt universe refers to the Super Smash Bros. series' collection of characters and properties that hail from Nintendo's classic NES game Duck Hunt, released in 1984.

Franchise description

On April 21, 1984, Duck Hunt, a light gun shooter game using the NES Zapper, was released in Japan. The objective of the game is to shoot a certain amount of ducks each stage with only three shots. If the player misses a duck, the player's hunting dog laughs at him or her, but if the player successfully shoots a duck, the dock grabs it with its hand and smiles. If the player does not shoot the required amount of ducks, the player will receive a game over. The game was popularized internationally by being a bundle with Super Mario Bros.. It was later re-released as part of the Nintendo VS. System as a Japan-only game named VS. Duck Hunt, which allowed for two players to play at once.

In Super Smash Bros. Melee
