Hitmonlee (サワムラー, Sawamurā, Sawamular in Japanese language versions) is a fictional creature in the Pokémon media franchise. It is a Fighting-type.
In Super Smash Bros.
As a Poké Ball Pokémon
Hitmonlee appears as a Pokémon that comes out of a Poké Ball in Super Smash Bros. Hitmonlee uses Hi Jump Kick as its attack. Upon appearance, Hitmonlee will remain motionless for several frames, then it will extend its leg and jump in the air at a randomly decided opponent target to inflict heavy damage and knockback if it connects. Hitmonlee's attack cannot harm the summoner.
Oddly, Hitmonlee's cry when coming out of a Poké Ball is more similar to Primeape's than it is Hitmonlee's own.
