Hitmonlee (サワムラー, Sawamurā, Sawamular in Japanese language versions) is a fictional creature in the Pokémon media franchise. It is a Fighting-type.
In Super Smash Bros.
As a Poké Ball Pokémon
Hitmonlee appears as a Pokémon that comes out of a Pokéball in Super Smash Bros.. Hitmonlee uses Hi Jump Kick as its attack. Hitmonlee will remain motionless for a full second, then it will extend its leg and jump in the air at a randomly decided opponent target to inflict heavy damage and knockback if it connects. Its attack can't harm the summoner.
Hitmonlee's cry when coming out of a Pokeball is Psyduck's cry instead of his own. No information has been given to why this occurs.
Scizor replaces Hitmonless in Melee. Scizor's attack is different from Hitmonlee's in that it will slash multiple times, while Hitmonlee only kicks once.
