Legend of Zelda (NES)

The Legend of Zelda is a series produced by Mashiro Sakurai. Its an adventure, fantasy-action game which has made a debut in the all three smash titles.

In Smash Bros series

  • Link, the protaginist from all Legend of Zelda games, has been a default character in the three smash titles. Link uses some major weapons of the game such as the Master Sword. He uses Bombs, Bow & Arrows, Boomerang, Hookshot, etc. Link's Super Smash Bros appearence is based off the older Link in Ocarina of Time. In Melee he has been graphically updated to fit a more modern appearence. His appearence in Brawl is that of Twilight Princess.
  • Zelda, the damsel in destress, also has been playable in Melee & Brawl with appropriate updated attire. She uses magic attacks using the 3 fairies, Din, Farore, Nayru, as special attacks. She can transform into her other counterpart Shiek who is swifter but weaker.
  • The main atagonist, Ganondorf is also a playable character in Brawl and Melee. Just like Zelda and Link he has been graphically updated. He focuses on Dark Maci attacks and is a clone of Captain Falcon, much to the dismay of fans because in the series Ganondorf has a sword used to fight Link.
  • Toon Link is the Wind Waker/Phantom Hourglass Link and appears in Brawl as an unlockable newcomer.. Toon Link is much weaker then Link but also attack fast and moves swifter.
  • Young Link is Link seven years before pulling the The Sword that repels evil's bane. He is an unlockable character in Melee and is absent in Brawl and has been more or less replaced by Toon Link.
  • Stages from the LOZ series also appear in the game. Termina's Great Bay, Hyrule Castle, Hyrule Temple, Bridge of Eldin all appear as stages.
  • Items from the series also appear. The Heart Container reduces you damage meter by 100 damage. The bunny hood also makes the player go at fast speeds. the Deku Nut temporarily stuns opponents.
  • Tingle appears as an assist trophy shouting his famous words then makes random effects occur.
  • Other elements such as songs and enemies and stage elements.
