Chrom is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He serves as an Echo Fighter of Roy. Chrom’s appearance in the game was announced on August 8th, 2018.
Differences from Roy
Aesthetics
Chrom's attacks lack the fire effect of Roy's.
Ground moves
- Forward tilt has a different animation, with Chrom holding Falchion in a proper grip, unlike Roy's reverse grip.
Special Moves
- Chrom's up special appears to be a faster version of Ike's. Instead of throwing his sword first, he performs an upwards slash.
- Chrom appears to have a unique Final Smash, inspired from Aether's portrayal in Fire Emblem: Awakening.
