Sup, my names Michael, but you can call me Gray if you want. I've been a fan of Smash Bros. since the N64 days. Back then, i usually played it for fun, so i tended to play casually with characters like Mario. In reality, the only reason i got the game was to play as Pikachu since im a huge fan of the Pokemon series. Unfortunately, i was never able to play him properly. Once Melee was released, i started taking the game more seriously. Once again, i wanted to play as Pikachu, but i couldn't get a hang of him (hilariously, this happens a lot to me when im interested in playing a character in any fighting game), so i decided to play as Mario for the majority. It wasn't until i unlocked Marth that i really wanted to give him a shot ant try to main him. He ended up being a character i would always play as, but i also grew in interest in playing Ness, so he became my secondary main. However, once Brawl was announced and see that Snake was going to be introduced as a 3rd party character, i had gotten crazy over the idea of seeing Sonic added in the game. I kept telling myself that i would main Sonic no matter how hard his play style would be for me. Once Sonic was revealed, i became overjoyed towards the fact that my favorite video game character would join the cast of character in Super Smash Bros! To make things even more exciting, Marth was also confirmed to return which made me set on which characters i wanted to main. Around before/after the release of Brawl i attended a Super Smash Bros Club in my school to learn more about the mechanics of competitive Smash to help learn more about understanding various playstyles as well as honing my skills. In the end, i managed to main Sonic and to this day i still do. Now im excited to play him again in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U. It's sad to see that many people are not interested in playing the blue blur, but i plan to main him again and perhaps enter my local tournaments to show off my Sonic skills. Hopefully, things will work out for the best.
